Carlos Salcido leaves PSV for Fulham

30-year-old Carlos Salcido joins Fulham from PSV on a three-year deal after agreeing personal terms with the English Premier League club. “I spent four seasons at PSV and I will always cherish the memories” said Salcido, who developed into a key player in Eindhoven and won two Dutch titles with PSV.

“I’ve had a great time at PSV, my first club abroad”, said Salcido in London on Friday afternoon, after having agreed personal terms with Fulham. PSV had already reached an agreement with the Premier League club over the transfer of the defender earlier this week. “I had some great successes in Eindhoven. I’ll always keep in my heart the good times I’ve had here and the loyal support of the fans and the people at the club. They’ve made me and my family feel welcome. After four seasons I felt I was ready for a new challenge, but I will never forget PSV. I would love to return one day to say goodbye to the fans”, said Salcido. “I wish PSV the best of luck and I hope they will clinch the title this season.” PSV´s technical manager Marcel Brands: “Carlos will make appearances in the Premier League, a wonderful competition. He became a key player during his four-year spell with PSV. We would like to wish him all the best for his future career. We will certainly try to organise a farewell party for him”, said Brands.
