Francisco 'Maza' Rodríguez handed one-match ban

UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has imposed a one-match suspension on PSV defender Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodríguez. The Mexican will miss the UEFA Europa League play-off return leg at home to FC Sibir Novosibirsk on Thursday.

On the occasion of its meeting on 25th August 2010 UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body shall decide the final sanction. Referee Tommy Skjerven showed the red card to Maza in the 39th minute of the UEFA Europa League play-off first tie at FC Sibir Novosibirsk for pushing Shevchenko. Both teams reached the interval with 10 men as Shevchenko himself picked up a second yellow card four minutes later.
