Fred Rutten: “I can hardly believe it”

PSV head coach Fred Rutten admitted at the post-match conference that he could hardly believe his side had failed to take all three points after they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at Heracles Almelo. “It’s really incredible. We had so many chances to score. So naturally I’m not satisfied with the efficiency we showed in front of goal today. We created a host of chances but didn’t convert them into goals.”

“I’m not satisfied with the efficiency we showed in front of goal today”, said Rutten at the post-match conference. “We were the better side for seventy minutes and had many chances to score in Almelo. “It’s really incredible we didn’t take all three points. I can hardly believe it.” Heracles coach Peter Bosz was not quite happy with his side’s performance, “We were lucky to be only one goal down at half-time, which kept us in the game. I should be happy to have snatched one point in the end, but actually I am not. We can do far better and the crowd could have booed us off the pitch at half-time.”
