Fred Rutten pleased with Europa League draw

PSV head coach Fred Rutten thinks Sampdoria and his team are favourites to progress to the next stage. “This is a promising draw. We will start preparing the team for the forthcoming matches.” PSV have been drawn alongside Sampdoria, FC Metalist Kharkiv (Ukraine) and Debrecen (Hungary), following the draw on Friday afternoon.

Fred Rutten took charge of the Friday morning training session.

PSV and Sampdoria are favourites

“Sampdoria are a fine club. They were knocked out of the Champions League by Werder Bremen. They are favourites in Group I, along with PSV”, said Rutten. “We know precious little about Debrecen, Balázs Dzsudzsak´s former club and the same goes for Metalist. We'll do our homework in the upcoming days though."
