Swedish official Stefan Johannesson will referee Thursday’s Europa League play-off second leg between PSV and FC Sibir Novosibirsk. The 38-year-old referee was to take charge of the UEFA Europa League Group K game between PSV and Sparta Prague, but fellow countryman Martin Ingvarsson replaced him.
Swedish referee trio
Johannesson has been appointed to referee Thursday’s game at the Philips Stadium between PSV and FC Sibir Novosibirsk. His assistants will be countrymen Peter Martinsson and Daniel Wärnmark, while Magnus Ahlsén, also from Sweden, will be the fourth official in Eindhoven. So PSV´s three Swedish players will be able to use their mother tongue when they communicate with the referee.
