Rutten: "Merecida victoria del PSV"

PSV head coach Fred Rutten felt his team deserved their 1-3 success over Rapid Bucharest at the National Arena on Thursday night. “I think we deserved the win because we enjoyed a fair share of possession and created chances to score. We were a little sloppy at times but pretty much kept our composure”, said Rutten at the post-match conference in Romania.

"Durante el primer tiempo, considero que jugamos muy bien. Para un partido del fútbol europeo tuvo un buen nivel y también creamos algunas oportunidades. La segunda mitad fue más difícil, porque no encontrábamos la forma de dejar libre a uno de nuestros delanteros para poner anotar. Y por ello, tuvimos menos oportunidades para llegar a la portería contraria.” A pesar que tuvimos algunos momentos en que perdimos la organizacion, creo que el partido fue bastante tranquilo. Seguimos jugando a un buen ritmo con un equipo joven. Creo que vamos por buen camino"
